Firefly is the first in a new series of sailing superyachts created to embody the spirit of racing established by the famed J-Class, but brought fully into modern times.
In fact, the design brief for these race classics called for the smallest sized vessel that could challenge a J on the water in both light and heavy winds. Firefly was designed by Hoek Design Naval Architects and built by Claasen Shipyards, delivered in 2011. She has already proven her mettle on the racing circuit, having participated in The Superyacht Cup in Palma the year she launched, as well as again this past spring
Here, you see why the yacht has garnered publicity since she was first announced.
