All your priorities change, you no longer have the luxury of just worrying about yourself. Fathers now have a massive responsibility for their child’s life and how it turns out. This can be an overwhelming situation for many men especially if they are struggling financially or in between jobs. One of the most vital things a man can do as a new father is to find a good career.
The importance of a good career is undeniably crucial in life. Having financial stability and working in a field you are passionate about is what most people strive towards. As a new father a good career is essential. The first several months after welcoming a new baby can be incredibly demanding for new families. Mothers are recovering physically and emotionally; both parents will be struggling to get a full night’s sleep, and with a new baby feeding schedules and daily routines can become chaotic. New fathers must remain strong for their families and continue to provide. Without a good career this can be almost impossible.
When I was young the urge to serve my country led me to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. After serving two tours in Afghanistan, David was not sure what the next step in his life would be. With a kid on the way, David realized he needed to start the rest of his life and get serious. With hard work and dedication, he started Unno_Healthcare, a healthcare company with a focus on “high quality, cost-effective medical care”. According to Healthcare Dive the healthcare industry added more than 650,000 jobs in 2023 alone– its fastest rate in more than three decades. The COVID-19 pandemic saw close to 200,000 healthcare professionals burnout or retire, leaving many positions needing to be filled. As a result, there is now a large influx of new positions and openings for many aspiring professionals.
Often people think of the healthcare industry as having few career options, however this field has some of the most diverse career options out there. There are job opportunities for everyone, from doctors, medical technicians, physical therapists, paramedics, pharmacists, nurses, and many more. The barrier to entry is not as difficult as one might think. Often a simple course or certificate can land a well-paying job with room for growth.
One of the best institutions in Florida to study healthcare is Keiser University. Keiser University is a not for profit, career focused university with 20 campuses serving students from over 60 countries. Keiser’s healthcare programs have come very far within the last several years. They have a wide variety of degrees in healthcare boasting 18 Associate’s degree programs, 11 Bachelor’s degree programs, and 16 Graduate degree programs. They also feature their very own Keiser School of Nursing.

Keiser is very flexible in that it features a wide variety of in-person and online classes with evening and weekend options for students that work full-time jobs. They offer various grants, scholarships, and financial aid to students who qualify. The schedule and scholarships that Keiser offers are perfect for new parents with families.
