Miami, Friday, June 5th, 2015 (By Negocios Magazine). The 2016 Mazda Miata MX-5 was voted the “Best Small Convertible” by SAMA members (Southern Automotive Media Association) in the annual “Topless in Miami 2015” which was held yesterday at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, in Miami.
Tamara Mlynarczyk, Manager, Public Affairs, Mazda North American Operations attended the gala dinner for the award. “Winning the Best Small Convertible award from the SAMA members is extra special as this is the first award the all new 2016 MX-5 Miata has received. Florida is a key market for the Miata, and we are honored that the SAMA journalists selected the MX-5 as the winner”, said Tamara Mlynarczyk to Negocios Magazine.
Only 1,000 2016 Grand Touring models with Soul Red exterior and Sport Tan interior will be produced for the U.S. Those who preorder their launch edition will also receive an exclusive Mazda-branded Bose® SoundLink® Mini Bluetooth® portable speaker two weeks after receipt of the vehicle.
Additional U.S. production is set to arrive after the 2016 MX-5 Launch Edition models are produced.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) for the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata launch edition with automatic transmission is $31,570. MSRP for the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata launch edition with manual transmission is $30,495. Actual dealer price will vary. MSRP excludes $820 destination fee (Alaska $865), taxes, title and license fees. Your $500 deposit will be applied toward the final purchase price. Deliveries are expected late July 2015.
