Newlink Group, an innovative communications and marketing consulting firm based in Miami, has once again been named public relations agency of record for the Ministry of Tourism of Mexico City. In efforts to continue positioning Mexico City as a world-class destination, Newlink Group will execute a comprehensive public relations and marketing campaign to promote the destination’s many offerings to both, consumers and the trade in the United States and Canada.
With more than 12 million visitors annually, tourism remains as top priority for Mexico City and its economy. Its many tourism offerings range from historical sites, museums and cultural attractions to luxury hotels, top-rated restaurants and fantastic shopping. “Mexico City sets itself apart by preserving its rich past while embracing the future, placing extra efforts on important elements such as green initiatives and safety, which further elevate the visitors’ experience. The integrated program for 2013 consists of various initiatives including extensive media relations efforts, a roadshow that includes five cities in the United States and Canada, an innovative social media program as well as several familiarization trips with top travel writers. The press trips will focus on Mexico City’s niche categories including gastronomy, family travel, history and culture as well as meetings and incentives.
